MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (HIRAIDO MMA)
Mixed Martial Arts (Hiraido MMA)
A modern martial arts course that integrates kickboxing, wrestling, judo and submission grappling into one system. It combines traditional martial arts philosophy and modern technique. The course content is physically demanding and students are required to attend with proper safety gear.
Hiraido, “the Art of The Open Way”, was founded by Mark Cann, Shihan, John McGraugh, Shihan and Elliot Lyle, O’Sensei. Perpetuating the philosophic principles of Professor Seishiro Okazaki, founder of the Kodenkan, is Hiraido’s main objective, while also conveying the best in MMA and defensive tactics. Hiraido has an organized curriculum and rank structure. Students can progress through an incremental program and eventually earn their black belt.
The skills taught in this course can be applied to competitions or just used for self-defense. Hiraido is a great workout for those wanting to get in shape, and with a balanced curriculum of striking, throwing and grappling, students can enjoy learning a wide array of skills.
