Originally created in Oahu, Hawaii as a hybrid street fighting system. It has evolved as an effective self-defense system that includes techniques from boxing, judo, jujitsu, kenpo karate and kung-fu. Students learn strikes, throws, joint and limb attacks as well as blocks and disarmament of offensive weapons.
The word “Kajukenbo” is the compilation of “Ka” for Karate, “Ju” for Jujitsu, “Ken” for Kenpo and “Bo” for boxing making out the name Ka-ju-ken-bo. Come learn what is arguably America’s first “mixed martial art” from a great instructor. Families are welcome, and children and adults may participate in the same class.
